With the new Racingline Golf mk8 gas strut conversion kit you can get rid of the cheap bonnet stay that the car now comes with.

Easy and fully reversible DIY customization in ten minutes. No cutting or drilling required.

After some experimentation Racingline made a gas strut of the right length and pressure for the Golf 8 bonnet. Lifts and closes with perfect resistance.

Included is a high quality stainless steel ball head mount that bolts onto the existing hood latch studs - no new holes or drilling required.

Finally - your hood opens easily and stays open while you work in the engine bay.
