The BMC sports air filter FB986/20 has been developed to guarantee a higher air flow compared to the conventional air filter of a Porsche Panamera II (971). The BMC air filter consists of multi-layer cotton, extremely thinly coated with a special oil in order to achieve a high air flow combined with an optimal filter effect. The seal on BMC air filters is made of one piece and is therefore particularly stable and tear-resistant. The BMC Air Filter 986/20 is definitely of higher quality and more precisely fitting than most sports air filters from other manufacturers.
 
Replacing an air filter made of paper with a BMC air filter, which uses the same technologies and materials as the Formula 1 filter, also results in clear advantages on the Porsche series vehicle.
