Forge Motorsport is pleased to release the industry-leading intake for the Hyundai i30N. This aftermarket cold air intake system improves your i30N's airflow in several important ways. It channels air more directly into your engine, using a giant 102mm diameter CNC mandrel bent aluminum tube. The aftermarket system also improves airflow by adding a high-efficiency, high-flow air filter in place of the restrictive factory air filter. Then the cold air intake system is set up to allow cooler air to flow into your engine with ease

The inlet diameters of these scoops have been carefully matched to deliver just the right amount of air that ensures a solid, consistent power increase across the entire rpm range with no loss of low-end torque. The piping is specially designed to feed the turbo without interruption. The result of all this is a gain in inductive acoustics under acceleration, improving the driving experience and adding a bit more drama to the Hyundai's 2.0-litre four-piston engine.

As always, filtration is important when designing an intake, so Forge turned to a longtime filtration partner.

With over 25 years of manufacturer experience in the motorsport market they recommended a multi-layer foam filter, these filters work perfectly in our 'Hi-Flow' range. The included large filter flows 60% more air than the stock filter.

The inlet is finished with our unique black thermal powder coating. This kit comes with the usual assembly instructions from Forge to make installation as easy as possible.

Hyundai boasts 275 hp and 278 lb.ft on its standard vehicle. When Forge put the CAT based performance exhaust development vehicle on the dyno with this intake operation, it achieved figures of 296 hp and 310 lb.ft!

Interestingly, there were many divided opinions about the inclusion requiring a heat shield. The tests took place with the hood closed and replicated wind speeds of around 113 km/h. Intake temperatures were logged and monitored along with thermal images captured. During these tests, Forge did not see any increase in inlet pipe or intake temperatures; even after 4 powerful hits, the inlet temperatures remained constant at 30°C.

Why not add gold tape to the underside of the aluminum case to further reflect the heat effect of the motor. The Gold Tape is supplied on a 5 meter roll so you can apply it to the underside of your Forge Motorsport product.
