Tuning catalysts with ECE-103R approval as welding solutions
HJS offers a wide range of approved tuning catalysts. The stainless steel vehicle-specific catalytic converters can be combined with standard and tuning exhaust systems from various manufacturers. With the 200 cpsi tuning catalysts developed by HJS, the performance of the vehicles is optimized and the sound image significantly improved.
The catalysts are identified by a type plate on the cone with type and approval number. The arrangement of the catalytic converter in the exhaust system is carried out in accordance with the approval: "Installation position as series". If the original catalytic converter has thermal protection devices, then the tuning catalytic converter must also have corresponding protective devices. If these catalytic converters are installed in vehicles which are not listed in the scope of application, the approval of the catalytic converters must be carried out by an officially recognized expert within the framework of an operating permit for the vehicle pursuant to § 21 StVZO.
