Many vehicle manufacturers use an electrically controlled original valve, which too often is defective or leaking at the factory.

This causes a loss of performance, which is even more pronounced in performance-enhanced vehicles due to the higher boost pressure.

GFB is expanding the DV + range with a plug 'n play solution: The robust, anodized and CNC-milled aluminum housing of the GFB DV + diverter valve closes this "hole" in the charge air system and the vehicle has noticeably more power and torque. The mode of operation was verifiably tested by GFB in several performance measurements on the test bench!

Since the GFB DV + only replaces the original valve and the original control unit (the solenoid valve unit) is used, it integrates perfectly.

GFB's DV +, on the other hand, is much more responsive, cheaper, easier to install and does not cause "surging" or fluttering. In addition, there is no need for other springs to be adapted to the respective boost pressure, nor for regular maintenance. In addition, it can withstand any boost pressure.

The secret here is that the piston seals itself through the applied boost pressure and not with the aid of the spring. The pressure flows backwards into the valve unit through small openings on the guide housing of the piston and pushes the piston downwards through the force of the boost pressure, which presses the piston with the rubberized underside against the stop and thus seals the system under load. With the so-called "pliot" (referred to as "solenoid plunger" in the figure below) the "pressure chamber" of the piston is now hermetically sealed, so that pressure is now applied to a larger area inside the piston chamber than from below on the rubberized underside. As soon as a load change occurs (e.g. during the switching process), the control unit lifts the Pliot and the pressure can escape from the piston chamber, which causes the piston to rise and divert the excess pressure from the charge air system.

- Thanks to the continued electrical control, a fast response behavior is still guaranteed even with high boost pressure

- Faster boost pressure build-up compared to an original SUV
- Plug & Play: Easy installation within 10-15 minutes, as the original control unit is retained

This valve can only be used in conjunction with the original solenoid valve unit. The following picture illustrates the installation position of the DV + together with the control unit of the original solenoid valve:
